(605) 668-2985 Archers may take advantage of a 28-target NFAA (National Field Archery Association) certified archery range, as well as a practice range. The archery range is set up into two, 14-target rounds and is laid out in a wooded section of the park, giving archers a natural setting to enjoy their sport. Scorecards, provided by Dakota Archery & Outdoor Sports, are available at the range. A park license is required to use the range; $6/day or $28 for an annual permit. Open to the public from April 15 through Sept. 30, unless a special event is being held.
NFAA Easton Yankton Archery Complex

www.fieldarchery.com The NFAA Easton Yankton Archery Complex is the home to the National Field Archery Association and is located at 800 Archery Ln. (just South of East Hwy. 50, behind the Super 8 Motel). The indoor shooting range is open year round from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. weekdays, 10 a.m. - 7 p.m. on Saturday and 12 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Sunday. Four outdoor ranges are available when weather permits. Local, National and International competitions are held each year.

Keep Yankton Beautiful presented this fountain to the City of Yankton in 2006. The fountain reconnects Yankton with its past of being called “The Fountain City”. This fountain fittingly called “Dakota Spirit” was sculpted out of one solid 18 ton block of South Dakota granite from Milbank. The fountain appears to be made of many layers. These layers represent all the different people that make up South Dakota’s past and present.
Fun for everyone! A 9-hole course is located at the Gavins Point Day Use Area. Frisbees are available for checkout at the park office, park entrance fee required and scorecards are at the first tee. Gavins Point National Fish Hatchery & Aquarium

www.fws.gov/gavinspoint/index.htm Fish, fish, everywhere! Built in 1960 on the Missouri River, the hatchery has produced over five billion fish for release in Midwestern waters. In the cool, dimly lit surrounds of the aquarium, visitors become part of the aquatic environment as fish and turtles slowly swim within 13 tanks. Exhibits, displays and aquatic animals located in the aquarium building explain the work and objectives of the hatchery. The hatchery is one of 65 national Federal Hatcheries and Fish Technology Centers operated by the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service. Open April 1 through Oct. 31 daily from 10 a.m. - 5 p.m.

MNRR The Missouri National Recreational River is a national park that runs right through Yankton. You will discover stretches of the Wild and Scenic Missouri River and plenty of outdoor activities, including miles of trails for hiking, biking, running and paddling. There are also many outdoor exhibits and Ranger programs provided throughout the river corridor and at a variety of historic sites and regional events. View the natural beauty and learn some of the diverse history of the recreational river along 126 miles of the South Dakota-Nebraska border. The National Park Service offers a variety of programs at the park and partner sites throughout the River Corridor for children, families, teachers and school field trip groups. Summer programming includes Junior Ranger and other programs for youth; guided walks, evening programs, canoe programs, fishing clinics, programs at the Lewis & Clark Visitor Center, an exhibit at the Yankton Chamber & Visitors Center and more. Historic Downtown Yankton and Riverside Park
www.yanktonriverwalk.org RiverWalk is a public art project focused on bringing outdoor sculptures to downtown Yankton and Riverside Park. New sculptures will be installed annually in May for the public to enjoy. Each year the public has the opportunity to vote for their favorite sculpture, the People’s Choice Award. Votes will be tabulated at the end of each year. The winner will be announced each April, at the sculpture auction and gala.
